Zendaya and John David Washington Did Movie During Quarantine “Malcolm & Marie”

So the story goes like this. Zendaya phoned Euphoria creator Sam Levinson after receiving the call from HBO that Euphoria’s Season 2 had to shut down. Zendaya asked him to write and direct a movie during quarantine. Within six days, Levinson had Malcolm & Marie written. Malcolm & Marie was shot between June 17-July 2, and all compliant with WGA, DGA and SAG-AFTRA approvals and COVID-19 safety protocols. Levinson saw Tenet star John David Washington to costar in the film.
