You may remember his polka-dot days and songs like “Only You” and “The Rhythm”.
After a successful career as a performing artist, Kwame rebranded himself as K-1 Million and started producing records for hip, pop and R&B artists.
In 2004 he produced a hit record for one of the members of G-Unit. He tells Jazzy T that he was “shocked” when Eminem’s named showed up as co-producer on that record.
Another interesting revelation that came out of Jazzy T’s conversation with Kwame is all of the opportunities that opened up for him after producing a record for Rochester’s own Tweet.
Remember that finale song in the movie Step Up? Yup, Kwame produced that too!
