It’s #NationalCoconutDay and here at WDKX we are celebrating in earnest!
Whether you eat it, cook with it or incorporate it into your beauty/self care routine, coconut has been the holy grail in health for years! Coconuts are a high source of fiber, iron and vitamin B6. They are also rich in minerals like magnesium, manganese, zinc, phosphorus and selenium; all of which help increase our energy, assist in weight loss and keep our hair and skin silky smooth and moisturized.
Personally, I CAN’T LIVE without my coconut oil. I use it for literally everything. Dry hair? Coconut oil. Ashy skin? Coconut oil. Need to cook? Coconut oil. Boyfriend/girlfriend acting up? Coconut oil. Bad credit? ?? COCONUT OIL!!
Okay, those last two were exaggerations, but you get my point! The coconut husk/shells also have a purpose. They can be used as a potting medium, carbon filtration, charcoal and bio-fuel. You can even use them as an organic cat litter! ?
At the end of the day, can we all just admit that coconut is truly bae? Happy #NationalCoconutDay! ??
