I caught The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon yesterday and I’m happy I did because Questlove of The Roots not only announced The Roots are releasing their 17th studio album and his book “Creative Quest” but he is a living library of music, kind of like a human Shazam. Last night BET Awards Prince tribute from Shelia E. one word…… EPIC!
I was practically in tears.
Rest In Paradise Prince.
Sad news yesterday singer & rapper Prince (Attrell Cordes) of the group P.M. Dawn passed away Friday at age 46.
He died from complications due to diabetes and renal kidney disease.
Attrell and his brother Jarrett Cordes formed the group P.M. Dawn in 1988 making hit’s like “Set Adrift On Memory Abliss” and “I’d Die”.
There have been many opinions on the Prince tribute that Madonna did. Plus the BET statement of wait till they do one on their award show. We think everyone should pay tribute to Prince from singing in the shower to come on down to Waterstreet and watch us have some THIS WEEKEND. Thanks to Rochester’s great talent – GET READY FRIDAY

Prince to Be Simulcast on Radio Stations ‘7 Hours and 13 Days’ After His Death
Exactly 7 hours and 13 days after Prince’s death, radio stations across the country will team up to pay homage to the musical icon, who died on April 21.
The very specific time for the tribute comes from Prince’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U,” which opens with the line: “It’s been 7 hours and 13 days, since you took your love away.”
To mark the moment, Prince’s hometown radio station, Minneapolis’s The Current, has invited stations to join them in a simulcast where channels across the country will play Prince’s version of “Nothing Compares 2 U” at the same time, Wednesday at exactly 5:07 p.m. CT (that’s 6:07 ET/3:07 PT).
Prince wrote the track in the mid-1980s, but it was in 1990 that Sinead O’Connor took the song to the top of the Billboard charts, making one minor change to the lyrics, changing the time from “7 hours and 13 days” to “7 hours and 15 days.” A few years after the song become one of O’Connor’s hallmarks, Prince took the song to No. 62 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 1994.
SO LET’S GO CRAZY WITH ANOTHER 7 HRS AND 13 MIN OF PRINCE ON WDKX
There are forces in this world whose power stretches beyond our mortal comprehension. Those forces seem to have descended upon Niagara Falls, which will be illuminated in purple this evening in honor of Prince’s death at the age of 57.
