Two Men In Custody Charged With Capital Murder For The Shooting Death Of 7 Yr Old Jazmine Barnes

Authorities have 20 year old Eric Black Jr. in custody and have charged him with Capital Murder for the shooting death of 7 year old Jazmine Barnes. He admitted to shooting Jazmine and her family in the car because he thought they were a rival gang.

Another man Larry Woodruffe, 24, was also taken into custody as tips lead police to believe he may have been involved in the shooting.

I follow activist Shaun King on Instagram and he helped raise $35,000 reward for information on the killer of Jazmine Barnes. He received a few tips Thursday that helped authorities identify and arrest the two men. Shaun King posted on IG with caption “We Caught Them” Sunday.

Now here is the part that is causing some confusion for a lot of people, the two men arrested are black and as it was first reported the man that shot Jazmine, her mother LaPorsha Washington, and three other children in the car was a white man in red pick up truck.

Barnes mom and sisters did not see the shooter. Once the girls heard the gunfire they saw Jazmine had been shot and killed and their mom was shot they looked up and saw the red pick up truck speeding off with a white man driving it.

They assumed the white man in the truck was the shooter. However, the two men who actually shot the family took off in a different direction through the neighborhood. The guy in the red truck was trying to get away from the area after the shots were fired.

The two black men were not framed and there is no conspiracy theories. They admitted they though the family was a part of a rival gang.
