Washington DC Prepares For Joe Biden’s Inauguration

Normally this week is a joyful one — Every four years there is a transition of power from one president to the next that thousands of people can celebrate by going to the nation’s Capitol and witnessing the event.
After the storming of the Capitol on January 6, things are different. The capitol looks like a police state now as officials try and make the area as secure as possible to make sure nothing like that happens at the inauguration.
As many as 25,000 National Guard Troops have been deployed, military vehicles are blocking streets, the national mall is closed and huge fences and barricades are protecting the state buildings.
