Uber Donating Rides & Food To Domestic Violence Organizations

Uber is helping those in domestic violence situations. They recently announced the donating free rides to domestic violence organizations in over 30 cities and 15 countries. 50,000 rides will be given directly to domestic violence shelters from Uber. Plus, The ride sharing service is donating 45,000 free meals to survivors.

Recent statistics show that one in four women and seven men have or will experience violence from an intimate partners. With many places still in social distancing and stay home situations due to COVID-19. There isn’t a lot of money and/or transportation available.
