Written by on November 6, 2020

The battleground state of Wisconsin has awarded it’s 10 electoral votes to Democratic candidate Joe Biden. The news comes two days after the Kenosha shooter
had his first day in court.

Kyle Rittenhouse of Illinois is being held on a $2 million cash bail and facing a mandatory life sentence, according to a court commissioner.
He’s accused of gunning down protesters Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and injuring Gaige Grosskreutz, 22. He claims self defense.

Rittenhouse was among a group of armed vigilantes who came to support Kenosha police who faced backlash for shooting Jacob Blake in the back 7 times in August.

During a press conference, Donald Trump supported Rittenhouse’s self-defense claim, saying he was attacked by the protestors.

The video below shows the suspect shooting the victims then walking by police with his hands up, before getting in his car and fleeing to his home in Illinois.

One of the victims, Anthony Huber was a semi-pro skateboarder who came down to the protest to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

His father spoke at Rittenhouse’s court hearing on Monday.

“Kyle Rittenhouse thinks he’s above the law,” Huber’s father, John Huber, told the judge. “He’s been created as such by law enforcement.

My son was a hero. He tried to stop him, and so did everybody else. He was an active shooter and he tried to flee. And my son lost his life protecting other people. He was a hero.”

Huber’s girlfriend spoke to reporters the night after the fatal shooting at the protest. Listen to the heart break in her voice.

Donald Trump continued to rally in Wisconsin during the last days of his re-election campaign.

Kenosha turned out in support of Trump – despite losing two of their own to violence invoke by his rhetoric.

But the larger cities of Milwaukee and Madison went blue and carried the State for Biden.
