Tony Awards Introduce ‘No Violence’ Policy Post Oscars Slap

Post the infamous Will Smith/Chris Rock slap, the Tony Awards organizers felt the need to address what would happen if this were to happen again at their awards ceremony. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the organization stated: “The Tony Awards has a strict no violence policy. In the event of an incident, the perpetrator will be removed from the event immediately.” The 2022 Tony Awards are set to occur on Sunday, June 12 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
