The New Batwoman On CW Network Is Black

Javicia Leslie is the new Batwoman on CW. “I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television. And as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community,” Leslie said in a statement. Leslie replaces Ruby Rose, who left the show in May after one season. “Batwoman” will air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET when the show returns in January of 2021.
