Some Good News About Employment In Rochester

20 years ago we had companies like Kodak and Xerox that held the top spot when it came to employment in the Rochester area but times have now changed.
The University of Rochester released a new report on the economic impact the university, medical center, and all of it’s affiliates have in the area especially when it comes to employment.  
The new report states that the university employs 30,000 people making it the largest private sector employer in Upstate New York.
But it gets better according to University of Rochester’s Peter Robinson who told RochesterFirst.com news that with the “additive effects” of their economy activity they account for another 30,000 people which brings the total amount or employees to about 60,000.
In the report it showed that the UofR purchased $182 million in good and services in the New York state boosting the economy as whole.
