Rochester’s Words of Hope

Yesterday, the Peck Street Block Club held an event in hopes to bridge the gap between local officials and community members. Their main goal was to bring the community together through food and Words of Hope. Malik Evans, the Democratic Mayor Primary winner, was on hand at this event. Evans says supporting neighborhoods is a major part of his agenda, and it’s good for the city of Rochester as a whole.
Malik Evans spoke out on this event, stating; “It’s important because it builds community cohesion, it brings people together, and it builds bridges to people all across the community, to say hey, we want to help this neighborhood. We want to support this neighborhood. And that’s what you see here today is something that’s important to me, which is stable neighborhoods, and Peck street block club, the work they’re doing to help stabilize this neighborhood.”
