Over the years, there has been a huge decrease in bike riding. No one rides bikes anymore! It’s very unfortunate because there are so many benefits to simply getting on a bike and going for a ride.

As kids, bikes were as popular as iPhones are now. Having a bike back then meant you were cool and had some independence. As we get older and are able to drive, bike riding becomes less popular, driving becomes the new thing and we forget that there is another form of transportation other than cars and walking. Don’t get me wrong walking is healthy, but it’s not a quick form of transportation.

This is why events such as Rochester Women’s Bike Festival are so important to attend because it gets people, especially women, to live a more healthy lifestyle while also saving money!

If you are interested in cycling, I recommend you attend this festival! There will be complimentary breakfast and lunch, and a FREE day care. There are many informative activities in store as well that will help you become comfortable with a bike while also completing your daily duties.

You can register for this event at rwbf-2019.eventbrite.com.
