Rochester Will Host New York State’s First “Walk4Water” Charity!!

Written by on May 14, 2019

According to the most recent water studies done by the World Health Organization in 2015, 1 in 10 people do not have access to clean water, that’s over 2 billion people! Of those, 263 million spend more than 30 minutes round trip to collect water. Due to these conditions, every 90 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease.

Walk4Water is a charity sponsored by Healing Hands International with the goal of digging water wells in needy areas. There have been 175 “Walks” in the U.S. to date and over 1,000 wells have been drilled to provide life giving water to those in need.

With the goal of raising money to drill a well in Zimbabwe, the Lawson Road Church of Christ in Greece will be sponsoring the first Walk 4 Water held in New York state!
