On Thursday Mayor Malik Evans and Xperience Live Events announced the artist lineup for the 27th ROC Summer Soul Festival. This year the concert series will include four community performances in addition to the 2-day main event at a new location with lower ticket prices.

“Rochester is known as a festival town. The Rochester Summer Soul Music Festival is one of the premier Soul and R&B music festivals in the Northeast and the perfect conclusion to the events season here in Rochester” said Mayor Evans.
With a new location in the heart of Downtown (Parcel 5) and a new, lower general admission price at just $25, it’s an event you don’t want to miss. Especially when you can grab a two-day bundle deal for just $39.
Both days will have local food and merchandise for sale.
The festival will kick off at 5pm Friday August 18 with performances by the Eastman School of Music, Anthony Dounte, NA$A Family, Jimmie Highsmith Jr, ADINA HOWARD, TROOP AND BIG DADDY KANE (Mayor Evans’ favorite Hip Hop Artist).
On Saturday August 19th we will be joined by Rod Bonner, Mambo Kings, YO-YO, KID N’ PLAY AND SILK!
