Earlier this week, 33-year-old Brittni Iverson died mysteriously hours after a reported altercation at DePaul Addiction Services, where she worked. Now her family is calling for justice. Hundreds of people gathered on Dewey Avenue, in front of the place where Iverson worked, releasing pink and white balloons, her favorite colors, in her memory.
Iverson’s brother Derwin King Jr stated: “Brittni has always been here with us to hold us together. I just I can’t live without my sister…I want justice for my sister by any means possible, and I just want her to be laid to rest peacefully. She never did nothing to nobody; she always gave. She never took from nobody. She never did nothing to nobody.”
