RHA Participant Renewal Process Program Offers Up To 100 Percent Rent Reduction

Rochester Housing Authority is offering a rental assistance program. The program will reduce rent up to 100 percent if you are out of work from the Coronavirus pandemic.
For individuals in rental assistance programs, for example Section 8 or public housing you can apply for temporary rent reduction.
If you are in a public housing program through RHA you have to contact the on-site property management staff. Then request a hardship interim rectification form. For Section 8 you have to fill out a change of income request form or submit a written request to your RHA Housing Specialist.
You would not have to be pay back the reduction in rent if you qualify.
