Residents at Pine of Perinton Call for Action over Health Issues

February 24, 2022

Residents living in Pines of Perinton, an affordable apartment complex in Perinton, are speaking out about filthy conditions. According to the residents, they worry that their complaints about rodents, mold, and water damage are being ignored. Nelifar Farzad, a tenant for about 4 years with her young daughter, says throwing out dead mice in traps has become part of her daily routine. In addition, Farzad said she has dealt with rodent infestations, mold, water leaks, broken cabinets, and even has grass growing inside during warmer months, and everything has been just a temporary fix.

Farzad stated; “They have betrayed us, the owners to management to the staff to everyone. We have been living in an unhealthy environment for the past four years here and we have just tried everything we could but right now we don’t know what else to do. We have given up hope.”

The Town of Perinton is aware and will be taking action. The Pines of Perinton management will face fines today unless they can share how they plan to bring units up to code.
