RCSD Student Kalena Guadalupe Donates Blankets For The Homeless

Kindness and action equals change! This is what a second grade student from Dr. Walter Cooper Academy School No. 10 embodied in her mission to provide blankets to the homeless.
Kalena Guadalupe went to her principal and said she wanted to collect blanket donations at school after she learned of the need for blankets for the homeless population. And she was successful in collect those blankets!
The school principal Dr. Eva Thomas and Kalenas’ mother will donate 36 blankets to the Open Door Mission on Plymouth Avenue.
