Rap Snacks becoming a popular worldwide brand

Written by on February 11, 2020

Have you noticed potato chip bags in your local supermarket or convenience stores with rap artists on the front of the bags? These snacks are called Rap Snacks, and James Lindsay created them. Lindsay said recently in an interview that Rap Snacks are on their way to becoming one of the most recognized brands of snacks worldwide.

That could very well happen since these snacks are packed with bold flavor and come in plain packaging that is becoming increasingly popular. The first pack of Rap Snacks, Bar-B-Quin with my Honey, was introduced back in 1994. The package featured rapper Romeo Miller or Lil’ Romeo.

Now the brand offers a variety of flavors, including Honey Jalapeno, Sour Cream with a Dab of Ranch, and more. Artists who have graced the front of the packaging include the Migos, Cardi B, Fetty Wap, Meek Mill, Master P, and Lil Yachty. Lindsay worked as a brand manager for Meek Mill and not only improved his business plan but got an idea of who he might like to feature on Rap Snacks and who he wouldn’t.

Lindsay works with the rappers to create flavors that they enjoy. He has also partnered with Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole to create a vegan-friendly snack. We can’t wait to see what new flavors and faces pop up on Rap Snacks in the future!
