Possible Increase In NYS Funding for Pre-K & Child Care

The New York State Senate and State Assembly are both calling for a $20 million increase in funding for childcare subsidies. These plans will increase reimbursement rates for preschool special education.

Additionally, the New York State Assembly submitted an executive proposal to add $26 million to pre-K funding. This particular increase would also allow for transportation reimbursement through transportation aid.

Both proposals are currently awaiting approval by NYS Governor, Andrew Cuomo.
