On Friday, June 12 phase 3 is set to take effect in 5 New York regions.
In Phase 3, indoor dining will be available for most restaurants and personal care businesses will allowed to open again.
Businesses will have to follow strict guidelines that can be found here.
A few regions entered phase 2 almost 2 weeks ago and COVID-19 data collected by officials says that the regions specified have the right numbers to move forward.
Governor Cuomo says that representatives will be watching the numbers, looking for spikes in cases that may occur in hot spot areas while people are returning to work or going out.
These numbers will be posted on a new dashboard for the public that is currently in the works.
The dashboard will present data on daily testing numbers and the percentage of positive cases by region or county population.
