Both Hudson and Brunson have had an amazing year thus far with Brunson winning an Emmy Award for Abbott Elementary for “Outstanding Writing For A Comedy Series” while Hudson became the 17th EGOT recipient and serves as the second Black woman to become an EGOT winner following Whoopi Goldberg.
