Nursing Education Scholarship Program Available For New Yorkers

If you are looking to get into nursing or further your education there are scholarships available in New York State. There are up to 1,000 scholarships available for people under the “Nurses For Our Future Scholarship”.
You can earn an Associates’ Degree in Nursing or you can get your Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. This scholarship is only for New York State public colleges or universities. However, an individual willing to relocate to New York State could also take advantage of this program.
There are 500 scholarships available for Nurses already licensed out of state but can get their BSN by relocating to NY. This is to help hospitals across the state to address the staffing shortages due to the pandemic.
According to Gov. Kathi Hochul’s office, there are 9,300 open positions for Registered Nurses across New York State.
