Nipsey Hussle’s Philanthropy to be Entered Into Congressional Record

California law maker, Representative Karen Bass, has pledged to include the philanthropic achievements of late rapper, Nipsey Hussle, in the Congressional Record.
Among many things, Hussle was known for his passion in spreading wealth and knowledge within his community. He purchased the Hype Park strip mall, the place where he got his start by selling his mixtapes, and opened his store, Marathon Clothing.
He had plans to develop low income housing within the community and made strives to improve the schools and and violence in the area. He was even known to pay for funerals for families who had been victims of gun violence.
Nipsey Hussle was tragically gunned down in front of his store on the evening of Sunday, March 31, 2019, but his massive influence still lives on. He actually had a meeting scheduled for the day after he was killed with Steve Soboroff, President of the L.A. Board of Police Commissioners, to discuss ways to decrease violence in the neighborhood.
Rep. Bass sent this tweet late Wednesday evening:
I will be heading to the House Floor next week to formally enter Nipsey Hussle’s contributions to South Los Angeles into the Congressional Record where it will be a part of United States history forever.
