On Saturday, the FDA officially cleared a third COVID-19 Vaccine from Johnson and Johnson that works with one shot instead of two.
Vaccine sites and health experts are looking forward to the mass distribution of this version so that we can beat the virus before it mutates into something untreatable.
According to health officials, The J&J vaccine’s best attributes come as protection against serious illness, hospitalization and death. Reports indicate that it is 85% effective against the most severe COVID-19 strain and was tested over 3 continents that included many mutations of the virus.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top U.S. infectious disease expert gave a statement, saying:
“The more vaccines that have high efficacy that we can get into play, the better.”
