NBC Says they will not Air the Golden Globes in 2022

Due to an increase of pressure on the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), NBC announced Monday they will not air the Golden Globes.
The HFPA has put on the oldest and most watched award show, the Golden Globes. However, they were recently denounced for a lack of diversity and ethical impropriates.
NBC believes they are going to take steps to change, but they don’t believe the changes will happen in time for the 2022 Golden Globes.
ABC News reported:
“’However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right,’ the network said. ‘As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes. Assuming the organization executes on its plan, we are hopeful we will be in a position to air the show in January 2023.’”
