If you loved your job at what age would you retire?

Would you wait to retire until you are 100 years old if you had your dream job?

Well that is what Ranger Betty did she recently retired at 100 years of age from her position as a National Park Ranger in Richmond, California. She is the oldest national park ranger in the country.

Betty Reid Soskin said she has lived many lives and her great-grandmother who also lived to 102 was born into slavery in 1846. Betty wrote protest songs during the civil rights movement. She was awarded a silver medallion by the WWII Museum in New Orleans. She was also named Woman Of The Year in 1995 by the California Legislature.

Her story is fascinating and this is a beautiful example of each one teach one and black don’t crack!
