Multiple Arrests Made In Saturday’s Protest Against The Death Of Daniel Prude

Written by on September 14, 2020

Saturday’s protest against the death of Daniel Prude by the Rochester Police Department was the shortest one yet, clocking in at only 4 hours after protestors threw bottles and police pepper sprayed the crowd.

The police reported that they arrested at least one person and none of the officers were injured, but there is no record of how many protestors were injured in the confrontation.

The incident took place at Child and Wilder streets, about a block down from Rochester Police Department’s Special Operations Division Headquarters. Most of the other confrontations took place in front of the Public Safety Building.

The full statement from the Rochester Police Department can be found here.
