Michaela Coel, Debbie Allen & RuPaul Make History at 2021 Emmy Awards

During the 2021 Emmy Awards on Sunday Night. Actress Michaela Coel took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing In A Limited Series for her work on the British drama, I May Destroy You. RuPaul won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Competition Program for RuPaul’s Drag Race. The win made history, as RuPaul has the most awards by a Black artist in Emmy history (11 Wins).

Plus, five-time Emmy award winner Debbie Allen accepted the Governor’s Award for her achievements on television and stage. One of the highest honors of the night.
