Mayor Lovely Warren Announces Removal RPD Chief La’Ron Singletary

September 15, 2020

It was a busy day in the City of Rochester. Mayor Lovely Warren announced Monday would be RPD Cheif La’Ron Singletary’s last day.

She also announced the suspension of the City Corporation Counsel Tim Curtain and Justin Roj the Communications Director. Both suspended without pay for 30 days for failure to act, inform, and follow policy procedure.

All of this stems from the death of Daniel Prude back in March. The Mayor also said that she too made mistakes.

Deputy Mayor James Smith conducted a Managerial Review in the Death of Daniel Prude. The documents from the review can be read by clicking here.
