One of the busiest mass transmit hubs in the world, New York’s Port Authority, was under an alleged terror attack this morning when a man detonated a pipe bomb strapped to his body.
Akayed Ullah, 27 is the suspect identified by police. He was injured in the explosion and is in custody.
Ullah lives in Brooklyn and is of Bangladesh decent.
Three other people suffered minor injuries according to reports.
The suspect set the bomb off at 7:20am underground 200 feet from the Port Authority on 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue.
