Local Fire Department Advice on Firework Safety Tips

Happy *almost Fourth of July! In celebration of the fourth, fireworks have been a tradition for hundreds of years, and every year, hundreds of people get injured from the illegal use of fireworks or even burned while using legal ones. While many like to purchase their own fireworks and lite them, the advice from the Cicero Fire Department is clear: Leave it to the pros.
Fire Department Officials also want to remind those who plan to light fireworks to be respectful of others in the community as fireworks are not for everyone, including people who are affected by trauma like veterans with PTSD.
