Immediately after seeing this trailer, I wanted to watch the whole movie! A little sad to report the film is scheduled to premiere in 2021–but hey!–something to look forward to. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya (from Queen & Slim, the Must Watch of 2019) as revolutionary Black Panther Fred Hampton, along with Lakeith Stanfield as William O’Neal the FBI informant that helped engineer Hampton’s assassination in 1969. Produced by Ryan Cooger, Warner Brothers shared the first trailer this past week. Shaka King makes his studio film debut and it looks like it will be one for the books.
