John Hopkins Study Finds Bats Can See The Future

Written by on November 5, 2020

Taking a break from politics with this story about bats. Yes, bats. According to research from John Hopkins University bats can predict the future.

Bats that eat insects use echoes that create a 3D model of the world around them while they fly to chase their prey. With that 3D model, they take snapshots of the world to predict where their prey is going to go.

Could you imagine if you had the ability to create a 3D model of the world? You could predict where your significant other or kids are going to go lol. It would be like an episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror.

The reason for this study is not only to see how bats work but to help scientists have a better idea of how humans perceive and process information.
