After the Jif peanut butter recall last week, the recall has rapidly caused at least 69 other products to be pulled from shelves as well. This is due to the fact that many companies use peanut butter in their own chocolates, peanut butter sandwiches, and more. Jif peanut butter, owned by J.M. Smucker Co., Jif’s parent company, issued the initial voluntary recall after the FDA traced a salmonella outbreak to a manufacturing facility in Lexington, Ky. Almost every day since a new product has been pulled from the shelves.
