Jada Pinkett Smith challenged Instagram followers with odd home workout

Written by on April 26, 2020

Last week, Jada Pinkett Smith posted a video of herself on Instagram performing a new upper-body workout. It has since caused a stir with a lot of people: While dressed in a dark blue sports bra, matching sweatpants and ball cap, and aqua and green sneakers, she placed a towel on her wooden floor and then, lying face-down, pulled her whole body in a sliding-fashion across it using only her upper arm strength. The 48-year-old actress, singer and business leader captioned the video with the words “Chile … What a towel on the floor will do!”

Since she released this workout, many of her fans have also made the attempt. Those who have the space have proven that it works. Pinkett Smith has even shown some of their videos on her Instagram profile, including one with a fan using her upper body strength to slide not only forwards but also backwards.

Yet, some people weren’t entirely happy with how Pinkett Smith, as a celebrity, seemed to disregard that many of her fans don’t have a lot of floor space. As one fan explained: “Two pulls and you went across my whole kitchen though.” With a sad emoji, another fan told her: “Two pulls and you went across my whole apartment! One pull until I bang into my couch!”
