House Of Representatives Votes To Impeach President Donald Trump

Written by on January 14, 2021

Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump for the second time in his term as President of the United States of America.

The votes came in at 232 to 192 one week from when rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol building, forcing lawmakers to take refuge from the place where they cast the ballots yesterday.

The yes votes were mostly from the Democratic party, but there were also 10 votes from the Republican side too.

The impeachment won’t force Trump to leave office but if it passes in the Senate, then he will be stripped of all rights as a president after his term is finished, including the right to run for public office again.
