Estimated 35 Million Stimulus Payments Not Issued

Written by on June 9, 2020

There are about 30 million to 35 million Economic Impact Payments that still need to be sent out. According to the House Ways and Means Committee said the estimation are from people who do not file tax returns.

For example they would be individuals on Social Security, or received Railroad Retirement, Supplemental Security Income, or Veterans Administration benefits. If you fall into one of these categories you can still receive a stimulus check.

For you to be able to get the stimulus payment you may have to go to the IRS website and use the non-filer tool. You have until October 15th which is the deadline.

Reminder if you expect a check from IRS your payment will come on a debit card and in a plain white envelope. Make sure you do not throw it away!

If you do throw it away by accident you can call 1-800-919-9835 to request a new one.

For the non-filer tool click IRS.gov
