City Announces New Grants To Help Rochester Businesses

The Online Resources Delivering Excellent Results (ORDER) Grant will provide businesses with up to $5,000 to upgrade their capacity for online sales and delivery management, Businesses can apply as long as they were operating before Jan. 1, 2020, and are in good standing with all municipal requirements, including zoning codes, taxes and fees, insurance and fair hiring practices. The city is also increasing the Business Emergency Retention Grant (BERG) grant limit from $5,000 to $8,000 per business. That grant help businesses with unpaid bills including rent, insurance, inventory and utilities.

The grant limit will be increased starting Jan. 1, 2021. Businesses with an open application can submit an amendment to get the additional funding. According to the city, more than $1.5 million has been awarded to more than 600 businesses under the program. To Apply Click Here
