Chadwick Boseman Laid To Rest Outside His Hometown

Chadwick Boseman’s body has been lain to rest at Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton, South Carolina.
Boseman was born about 11 miles from his final resting place, in Anderson, S. C. and his city held a public memorial on September 4th.
According to an article by the Associated Press, Boseman’s immediate cause of death was listed as multiple organ failure as a result of the colon cancer which he had been diagnosed with 4 years prior.
He had surgery to remove the cancer after his diagnosis in 2016, and again recently in March to remove more cancer that metastasized.
Boseman’s agent commented on his choice to keep everything a secret, saying he was a “very very private person.”
