Mayor Warren to Donate Blood
Mayor Lovely Warren will be donating blood at the 5th Annual Cecil McClary Blood Drive. She will be available to the media prior to donating blood. Because of HIPAA regulations, the Red Cross will likely prohibit TV cameras in the blood donation room.
The Cecil McClary Blood Drive is an annual event that Mayor Warren began when she was City Council President. The blood drive is done in honor of her late grandfather, Cecil McClary, who was shot in 1984 and survived because there was an ample blood supply available for a life-saving blood transfusion.
