Cardi B is NOT having it! In a recent video posted by the rap diva, she drags the opposition’s lawyer from her on-going NYC assault case, Joseph Tacopina, for slamming her based on how she chose to dress for her court appearances.

“I don’t dress inappropriate when I go to court. I dress like a young f**king lady… Why are you worried about the way I dress? That just goes to show you that y’all do this sh*t for press,” she said.

One thing she mentioned that really stood out to me was, “You’re bothered because the way I dress… If I was a man, it would not bother you.”

It seems no matter what women decide to put on their bodies, someone will have SOMETHING to say. If our dresses, shorts or skirts are too long, we’re seen as too modest, if they’re too short… well I’m sure you can fill in the blanks here. This debate over how women should dress is honestly exhausting!! ??‍♀️

In my opinion, Cardi B looked nothing less than professional and presentable for her court appearances. So what is the issue here? What we choose to wear does not take away from our talent, intelligence, accomplishments, dreams, hopes, fears, goals… anything! So I have an idea, instead of being so concerned about other people’s clothing choices, why not just drink water and mind your business? See, now everybody wins. ??‍♀️?
