Area Grocery Stores Are Changing How You Shop In Response To COVID-19

Walmart has changed the way you enter and exit the stores. There is only one side open with way to enter and one way to exit.

Wegmans has also implemented stricter social distancing policies for customers while inside their stores. So be mindful when you go out the way you shop has changed again.

The next couple of weeks will be difficult in New York State as we brace for the COVID-19 peak so I completely understand the new rules.

Walmart also added to it’s worker safety policies and will begin taking the temperature of employees. If an employee has a temperature of 100 or over they will be sent home to seek medical attention with pay for showing up. They will also supply employees with high quality protective masks and gloves is they would like to use them.

Wegmans will also allow employees to wear masks and gloves while working.

So be prepared when you go out to shop and make sure you are practicing social distancing and good hygiene, if you’re sick stay home have someone else shop for you.
