Lizzo Granted Trademark After Previous Refusal

After being previously denied, Lizzo has been granted the trademark to use the phrase “100% That B—” on apparel, after a group within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted her exclusive permission. This quote relates back to her hit, ‘Truth Hurts” where she sings “I just took a DNA test. Turns out, I’m 100% that b-.” Truth Hurts made the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019 and was Lizzo’s first No. 1 hit. It stayed at the top for seven weeks and remains her longest-running No. 1.
