WHAT: Trent Jackson Memorial Field Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
WHEN: Wednesday, September 28, 2016 – 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: Franklin Campus 950 Norton Street
DETAILS: On Wednesday, the community will celebrate the new synthetic turf football field at the Franklin Campus made possible through a $200,000 donation by the Buffalo Bills and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation through the NFL Grassroots Grant. The ribbon cutting ceremony at the Trent Jackson Memorial Field will take place prior to the 5:00 pm modified football game between the Franklin Quakers and the McQuaid Knights.
The Presentation of Colors will be done by the Leadership Academy for Young Men JROTC, and the RCSD Marching Band will perform at halftime.

- Grades K – 12 school bags
- Grades K – 8 for supplies
- No more than (3) school bags per family
- Parent/Guardian must be present with child to claim bag
- First come, first serve basis while supplies last
- Parents must visit the vendors to be eligible to receive school bag/supplies
- Registration does not guarantee bag/supplies
Barbara Deane-Williams is officially the new Superintendent for the Rochester City School District.
Barbara Deane-Williams was superintendent in Greece from 2011-2015 leaving to work for the Boston City School district. She is back in Rochester with RCSD under a three year contract making $225,000 a year.

(WHEC 10 News) Rochester, N.Y. – Transportation company Durham School Services will be laying off 142 employees after they did not renew its contract with the Rochester City School District.
Those layoffs were filed last month.
Last week, Regional Transit Services (RTS) also refused to renew their contract with Rochester schools. They will be forced to lay off 144 employees after this decision.
