WNBA Player, Brittney Griner Expecting

Remember back in April when Brittany Griner and her fiancée Glory Johnson were arrested after police were called to their home with a report of domestic violence? Well the newly married couple have announced Thursday that they are expecting.

Glory Johnson, who plays for the Tulsa Shock broke the news by posting a creative picture on Instagram. The picture depicts a bun in the oven, while hashed-tag with “#SUCCESS #BLESSED #WelcomeToTheJohnsonGrinerFamily,”

With the season starting, the pregnant Johnson will be sidelined until next season.

Brittney Griner will miss the first seven games of the Phoenix Mercury season due to a suspension. Griner and her fiancée received a suspension each because of their arrests earlier in April. The league called their actions “unacceptable.”

Glory Johnson is upset with the league because Griner plead guilty while she plead not guilty and she still got hit with a suspension.

Did the WNBA go a little too far into the personal lives of their players? Is the WNBA stricter than the NBA when it comes down to arrests and court appearances?

If you’re wondering how two girls are having a baby, your stuck in the past.

The two have been discussing to start a family together and finally achieved success with their sperm donor.

With their relationship moving quickly, is it bad their adding a child to the mix? Maybe the two needed to slow down after they both got arrested for aggravated assault. Hopefully Griner and Johnson have overcome the past and are ready to welcome their bundle of joy to the world.

We wish them the best!
