Did North Carolina Police Offers Go To Far In Shooting?

Some people who witnessed the shooting are say the police went to far for shooting the 53 year old suspect 3 separate times.
I saw the video and it was graphic but i’m not sure if I agree with the witnesses because reports say the man was a threat because he pointed a shotgun at offers.
