Beyoncé is an icon and has solidified her spot as THE greatest entertainer of our generation. #Flawless
Wednesday her Formation tour stopped in Toronto at Rogers Centre home of the Toronto Blue Jays. Walking in I immediately noticed the 60 foot tall screen/box center stage, lights, and of course the fans(not people but wind machines) lining the entire stage.
Formation is not just a concert but it’s an experience….It was technically magnificent unlike anything I’ve ever seen and Beyoncé was absolutely spectacular!
This was my first time on the floor at a Beyoncé concert and right by the Bey Stage! It is an experience I will never forget and not just because I was baptized the Queen as she danced in water…. We will get to that in a moment.
Bey kicked off the show with “Formation” and despite a small glitch I assume with her wardrobe the dancers continued to perform as one of her technicians assisted her. She is a true professional singing through unbothered and once they fixed the issue she hit that stage to slay!
This was hands down Beyoncé best concert EVER! I’ve been to 3 other Beyoncé shows but this one by far surpasses them all. I cannot express to you in words what made this one so special I would say you have to be there to understand.
Is Queen Bey one of the greatest entertainers of all time?…HELL YES!!!
Has she earned a spot with James Brown, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, and Prince?.. Most definitely and without a question yeeeesssssss!
My favorite moments from the show was when Bey performed Prince “The Beautiful Ones”, Vanity 6 “Nasty Girl”, her song “All Night” off of her ‘Lemonade’ album, and of course when I was baptized by the Bey water while she performed “Freedom”. Yes she did a set in stage full of water… damn that was creative!
Can’t forget about the all female cast from the dancers to the band AMAZING, especially the drum solo from Joy the Drummer that was sooooooooo dope.
All around Formation gave me life! I whole heartedly enjoyed every song, every moment, and the message that Queen Bey left us all with… “Ladies, you are strong. There is not a woman alive who is not strong.”
Beyoncé came to slay, and inspire.. “I’m a country girl from Texas, If I can be on this stage, I promise you, you can accomplish anything. You can be up here too.”
