Jamal Lyons Is Leaving the Empire

In Hollywood when an actor is leaving a show or series, whether to further pursue his career or for personal reasons, the script writers and directors create a situation/scene in which the actor is fatally wounded or moves away permanently.

Well…if you watched the last episode of the Fox’s hit TV show Empire, leading actor, Jussie Smollett (aka Jamal Lyon), was shot unintentionally while trying to spare his father Luscious Lyons ( who is played by Terrance Howard).

The episode ended with the family gathered in the hospital’s waiting room anticipating updates on Jamal’s condition.

Although this is the last person we expect to leave the series indefinitely, Smollett posted a subliminal tweet that confirmed his departure from the Lyon’s dynasty.

This farewell message indicates that Smollett is ready to pursue other acting possibilities, and may even put out a solo album while doing so.

The show won’t be the same without our favorite Lyon, but we understand and respect his decision.

Good Luck Jamal! I’m sure we will be seeing you again very soon.
